​​Karen Taylor said yes to Charles River Laboratories’ 12 years ago and serves as their Global Onboarding Program Manager.  She is responsible for launching and managing a leading edge Global Onboarding Program that is helping new talent acclimate into the organization and build the relationships and connections that set them up for long term success.  Karen previously held positions in their IT Project Management office and managing the onboarding of IT new hires.   She is certified in Change Management and also has over 25 years experience as an Executive Assistant supporting C-Level executives.

Michelle A. Lewis

Michelle A. Lewis, M.S., C.R.A., holds a B.A. in Biology from SUNY New Paltz, and a M.S. in Clinical Research Administration from NY Medical College. Michelle’s post-baccalaureate career started at Weill Medical College of Cornell University in NYC, where opportunities for professional advancement contributed to her evolving expertise in Research Administration. From 1998-2017, Michelle served in over 10 unique positions at Cornell and transitioned to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as Vice President, Research Administration & Operations in June 2017. In partnership with more than 900 principal investigators, Michelle serves a pivotal role to advance the strategic vision of conducting world-renowned, biomedical research and translating it into breakthrough pediatric patient care.

Donna Krammer

Manager, Onboarding and Education Administration

Donna Krammer is the Manager, Onboarding and Education Administration at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.  She oversees onboarding at the enterprise level, welcoming over 4500 new hires annually since 2014.  Donna holds a Bachelor’s Degree in communication Sciences and Disorders and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration as well as a Graduate Certificate in Non Profit Management.  Donna has spent over 20 years working in the learning and development environment designing, developing and delivering leadership development, professional development, and most recently onboarding  programs in the various business sectors, including government, healthcare, non-profit and legal organizations.

Katie Beach

For over 14 years, Katie has led the development and execution of talent acquisition strategies across multiple industries.  She started her career in recruitment and leadership consulting before transitioning to the manufacturing industry where she spent 9 years developing international talent strategies. In 2015, she transitioned to healthcare where she has successfully developed and operationalized the inaugural sourcing, recruiting and onboarding model, which contributed to a 25% decrease in time-to-fill, the attraction and selection of over 70% of the regional new graduate nursing candidate pool and a 15% decrease in vacancy rate for critical roles.  Katie received her Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and Advertising from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In addition, Katie serves on the board of directors for multiple organizations including Nebraska SkillsUSA and HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) and the Industrial Distribution program at the University of Nebraska-Kearney.
